Built by someone who has run AI in production for twelve years.

Valaren is an applied AI company in Toronto, founded by Labeeb Khan. The person you first speak with is the person who designs and builds your agent, and stays with it after launch.

The founder, and what that means for your build.

Twelve years of machine learning in production, in regulated insurance and finance. Reachable, and in the work.

Labeeb Khan

Founder and CEO

Labeeb has spent twelve years building machine learning systems that power tens of millions of daily interactions in production, as a machine learning engineer at Deloitte and Aviva and a data scientist at Intact and TransUnion. Labeeb leads every first conversation with a new client and architects the agents Valaren ships.

  • EducationMSc Computer Science, University of Guelph. BSc Mathematics, McMaster University

What it means for you: The systems Labeeb has built had to work in regulated insurance and finance, every day, at scale. Your agent is held to the same standard.

Most of the work turned out to be the same work.

Valaren began by solving one operator’s problem, then another. Somewhere in there a pattern showed up: the hosting, the permissions, the connections to existing software and the handoffs to people were the same every time. Only a small part was specific to each business.

That is why one company can run agents in a clinic, a law firm, an insurance agency and a factory. Valaren keeps the parts that work, tests them in real businesses, and spends its time on the part that is yours.

How a build runs

  1. 01

    Build inside what exists

Your software, databases and workflows are the starting point. Your team keeps working the way it knows.

  2. 02

    Learn from what has happened

Before deciding how an agent should behave, we study the history: the conversations, the outcomes, what worked.

  3. 03

    Stay for the long term

We look after what we build. The best improvements come from watching a system in daily use, alongside the people who rely on it.

We run our own company on agents we built.

It is how we know what it takes to depend on one, and why the handoff to a person is built into everything we ship.

Our monitoring, books, outreach, contracts and code are each run by an agent. Here is what each one does.

PulseWatches the systems we run for clients and flags anything that needs attention.
GoldveinKeeps our books organised and our financial picture current.
BardFinds the people we should speak with and manages introductions.
BlueDrafts and reviews our own contracts, ready for sign-off.
ForgeWrites, reviews and ships code alongside our engineers.

Meet the people who would build yours.

Thirty minutes with a founder. Bring the process you want off your team’s plate, and leave knowing whether an agent fits.

What happens on the call
  1. You walk us through the process and the system behind it.
  2. We tell you plainly whether an agent is the right fix.
  3. If it is, we outline what we would build and what it would take from your team.
